PALLIATIVE CARE - Part 2

Version n. 1

Palliative care is an essential component of education and knowledge of medical oncologists: they should become able to tailor the general concepts  to the tumour-specific and patient-specific clinical needs and to work in a team with nurses, colleagues, GPs, domiciliary care services, relatives and care givers.
The educational pathway in palliative care, realized with the collaboration of Prof Carla Ripamonti of the National Cancer Institute in Milan, Italy, and kindly supported by  Fondazione Internazionale Menarini, consists of six webcasts done by  experts in the selected topic (intestinal occlusion, pain, bone health, nausea and vomiting, orphan symptoms, cachexia and dyspnoea) with a last session of clinical cases proposed by the audience and  discussed by the experts.
