CALL FOR CLINICAL CASES - Pain and palliative care

Would you like to submit a clinical case and discuss it online with top level experts? 
Yes! Then this call is for you!


  • Neuropathic pain in cancer patients
  • Cachexia, nutrition and hydration in advanced cancer patients
  • Intestinal obstruction in cancer patients

EXPERTS: Prof Cristiana Sessa, Dr Carla Ripamonti

FORMAT: 10-slide presentation including three questions related to the clinical case that you would like to discuss with the experts 

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 25 October 2020 (selected authors will be notified within 10 days)

PRESENTATION DATE: 16 November 2020 – h. 18.15 CET (you will need to be available to connect from h.17.30 CET)

How does it work?

Three cases will be selected for discussion. The author of each case will be connected via internet to discuss it with the experts on the indicated date (10 minutes for each case presentation followed by 10 minutes of discussion). 

The presenters will be connected via their computers and all that is needed is:

  • A good and stable internet connection (we strongly suggest a cable connection to guarantee better audio and video quality);
  • A webcam;
  • A headset with microphone.

ESCO is the College of the European School of Oncology. It offers aspiring medical, radiation and surgical oncologists a structured educational pathway that spans their career from medical student through to taking on leadership responsibilities.
